Washington...

Skokomish River At Potlatch affecting Mason County.

What:
Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

Where:
Skokomish River at Potlatch.

When:
Until further notice.

Impacts:
At 17.5 feet, the Skokomish River will cause moderate
flooding, with deep and quick flood waters inundating some
residential areas, many roads, and much of the farm land in the
Skokomish Valley. Inundated roads include the Skokomish Valley
road, Bourgault Road West, Purdy Cutoff Road, and Highway 106.

Additional Details:
- At 3:30 AM PST Thursday the stage was 17.8 feet.
- Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 3:30 AM PST Thursday was 17.8 feet.

At 5,500.0 cfs, South Prairie Creek will cause flooding
from above the Town of South Prairie downstream to the Carbon
River. Flood waters will inundate roads, residential areas, and
farms, including South Prairie - Carbon River Rd., South Prairie
Rd. East, Spring Site Rd., and SR 162.

Additional Details:
- At 3:00 AM PST Thursday the flow was 3,840.0 cfs.
- Flood flow is 4,000.0 cfs.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of
6,120.0 cfs late this morning. It will then fall below flood
stage this evening.

Road and Upper Ford Road affected by flooding.

Vista Rd near the confluence with the Willamette is also likely,
especially if the Willamette is running high.

and roads in the vicinity of Hwy 4 and Rosburg. Numerous road
closures are likely, including Covered Bridge Road where the river
gage is located, Satterlund Road upstream of the gage, and the
following downstream of the gage: Altoona Piller Rock Road,
including bridge approaches, Loop Road, and Barr Road. Some homes
and buildings in low areas near the river are threatened with
flooding above this level.

Basin.

Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

Additional Details:
- At 316 AM PST, Gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Flooding
is already occurring in the warned area. Between 3 to 5
inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in

At 10,000.0 cfs, the Green River will flood low areas of
the middle Green River valley with water over SE Green Valley Rd.
Some flooding is possible at a few low spots along the banks of
the Green River in Auburn, including near Issac Evans Park in
lower Mill Creek basin between Auburn and Kent due to backwater. A
flow of 9000 cfs feet on the Green River corresponds to a phase 3
flood in the King County flood system.

At 202.5 feet, flood waters will inundate many roads and
residential and commercial areas along the Newaukum River and its
forks. Flooding in some areas may be deep and hazardous
especially near rivers. Impacted roadways and surrounding areas
include Jackson Hwy. and Tune, Rush, Sommerville, Griel, Hamilton,
Tauscher, Guerrier, Kirkland, Macomber, Rice, Senn, Lucas Creek,
Middle Fork and North Fork Roads. A stage of 202.5 feet on the
Newaukum roughly corresponds to Phase 2 flood in the Lewis County
flood system.

record flooding from Rockport downstream through Sedro Woolley.
Deep and swift flood waters will inundate and damage roads...farms
and business and residential areas...especially Cape Horn...
Hamilton...and Thunderbird. Cockreham Island...the Nookachamps and
the Sterling areas will be inundated. Levees east of Sedro Woolley
may be damaged. This level at this location on the Skagit
corresponds to a Phase 1 flood in the Skagit County flood system.

At 20.0 feet, the Stillaguamish River will cause near
record major flooding. Deep and swift flood waters will inundate
many roads including Highway 530 east of Arlington and at Island
Crossing and most valley roads downstream of I-5 to Stanwood.
Levees are subject to overtopping and damage. Flooding will occur
all along the river including headwaters...tributaries...and other
streams within and near the Stillaguamish River Basin. This stage
corresponds to Phase 4 in Snohomish County flood program.

This water will be in addition to flooding of the Samish
River and could cause major flooding in areas that typically

flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
warned area. There have been several reports of rock and
mudslides throughout Chelan County. Between 1.5 and 4 inches
of rain have fallen in the last 24 hours.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 3 inches are possible
in the warned area through early Friday morning.
