FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW MORNING
The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers in
Oklahoma...

Illinois River near Tahlequah affecting Cherokee County.
What:
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where:
Illinois River near Tahlequah.
When:
Until tomorrow morning.
Impacts:
At 9.0 feet, no flooding occurs but all recreational
floating along the Illinois River ceases at and above 9.5 feet.
Additional Details:
- At 8:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.0
feet this afternoon then fall below action stage tonight.
- Action stage is 9.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM CDT THIS EVENING
What:
Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues.
Where:
In Minnesota, Cook, Lake and St. Louis Counties.
When:
Until 645 PM CDT Saturday.
Impacts:
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream
flows are elevated. Flooding is occurring on area rivers that are
popular for waterfall viewing.
Additional Details:
- At 555 AM CDT Saturday, River gauges continue to suggest that
there are areas of high water and localized minor flooding
from Thursday's rainfall.
- Very little additional rainfall is expected. Any flooded
areas are expected to see gradually improving conditions
today.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Grand Marais, Gunflint Lake, Two Harbors, Silver Bay,
Babbitt, Grand Portage, Clear Lake, Lutsen, Tofte, Beaver
Bay, Dumbbell Lake, Forest Center, Temperance River State
Park, George Manitou State Park, Taconite Harbor, Sugar Loaf
Cove, Isabella, Little Saganaga Lake, Little Marais and
Finland.

Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Campers and hikers should avoid flooded trail crossings. If camping
at a site along or near the banks of rivers or streams, move away
from those locations and seek higher ground. Trails in hilly terrain
can quickly become unstable during or shortly after heavy rainfall.

Visitors to area waterfalls should expect snow and ice covered
trails and be careful around rivers that will have slippery rocks,
cliffs, and strong currents.

.Snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river
flows to become high. Expect minor flooding downstream from the dam.
What:
Elevated river levels caused by rain and snowmelt continue.
Where:
East Branch Escanaba River at Gwinn.
When:
Until early Monday morning.
Impacts:
At 7.0 feet, Low lying areas of Peter Nordeen Park begin
to flood
Additional Details:
- There is no current observed data.
- Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 6.7
feet this morning.
- Action stage is 6.5 feet.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
