Weather Headlines
A front extending from the Northeast to the Southern Plains will move
southward to the Gulf Coast and eastward to off the Northeast Coast by
Sunday evening. The boundary will produce scattered rain showers in the
morning over the Northeast to the Mid-Atlantic and showers /thunderstorms
in the afternoon into the evening from the Mid-Atlantic to the Southern
Plains/Gulf Coast.

In addition, showers and severe thunderstorms will develop over parts of
the Southern Plains on Sunday. Therefore, the SPC has issued an Enhanced
Risk (level 3/5) of severe thunderstorms over parts of the Southern Plains
on Sunday. The hazards associated with these thunderstorms are frequent
lightning, severe thunderstorm wind gusts, hail, and a few tornadoes.

The showers and thunderstorms will produce heavy rain. Therefore, the WPC
has issued a Slight Risk (level 2/4) of excessive rainfall with these
thunderstorms over parts of the Southern Plains. The associated heavy
