FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON
What:
Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
Where:
Southern Milam County.
When:
Until 300 PM CDT.
Impacts:
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
River or stream flows are elevated. Ponding of water on roadways
is occurring or is imminent.
Additional Details:
- Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to persistent moderate
to heavy rain. This will likely cause urban and small stream
flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will
experience minor flooding in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Thorndale, Alcoa Lake and San Gabriel.
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

What:
Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

A portion of south central Texas, including the following
county, Lee.
When:
Until 300 PM CDT.
Impacts:
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.
Additional Details:
- At 1059 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Giddings, Lexington, Dime Box, Fedor, Tanglewood, Lake
Somerville State Park & Trailway, Lincoln, Leo, Loebau,
Manheim, Old Dime Box, Hills, Blue, Serbin, Northrup and
Knobb Springs.

counties, Burnet, Travis and Williamson.
When:
Until 115 PM CDT.
Impacts:
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.
Additional Details:
- At 1056 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville,
Taylor, Elgin, Burnet, Marble Falls, Granger, Bertram,
Serenada, Anderson Mill, Windemere, Buchanan Dam, Leander,
Hutto, Manor, Lago Vista and Hudson Bend.

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where:
A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe.
When:
Until 1145 AM CDT.
Impacts:
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Some low-water crossings
may become impassable.
Additional Details:
- At 840 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms from yesterday.
Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area.
Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will prolong ongoing minor
flooding with particular concerns at low water crossings.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Antonio, New Braunfels, Schertz, Seguin, Cibolo, Selma,
Canyon Lake Dam, Canyon Lake, Fair Oaks Ranch, Bulverde,
Garden Ridge, McQueeney, Marion, Santa Clara, Smithson

Paint River at Crystal Falls (Paint) affecting Iron County.
What:
Elevated river levels caused by snowmelt are occurring.
Where:
Paint River at Crystal Falls (Paint).
When:
From early this morning to tomorrow evening.
Impacts:
At 5.0 feet, At 5 feet the lowest portions of the Robert
Olson Walking Trail begin to flood
At 5.5 feet, 3500 - cfs - River exceeds bankfull stage
At 7.0 feet, 5600 - cfs - Waterfront park areas near the M-69
bridge and low lying areas along the river in Crystal Falls become
inundated.
At 8.0 feet, Parking lot of roadside park upstream of M-69 begins
to flood
Additional Details:
- At 3:10 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 7.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 5.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 3:10 AM CDT Tuesday was 8.3 feet.

At 8.0 feet, Water reaches the bottom of the County Road FX bridge
At 8.3 feet, The residence located at 1068 County Road FX begins
to flood

- At 12:15 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 6.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 6.5
feet early Friday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage early Saturday morning.

At 9.5 feet, The river exceeds bankfull stage
At 10.3 feet, The river is at the high water mark set in May of
1960. No known significant flooding impacts are known for river
heights at or below this stage
