Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where:
Illinois River from Starved Rock Lock and Dam downstream
to confluence with Big Bureau Creek, including the La Salle gauge.
When:
Until Friday.
Impacts:
At 20.0 feet, Agricultural areas in La Salle, Spring
Valley, and Peru are inundated.
Additional Details:
- At 10:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 20.9 feet.
- Recent Activity...The river stage continues to gradually
fall.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late this week.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where:
A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Lake IL and McHenry.

Impacts:
Numerous roads, yards, structures, and park land are
expected to flood along the Fox River Chain of Lakes.
Additional Details:
- At 438 PM CDT, River gauges along the Fox River Chain of
Lakes indicated water levels continuing to rise slowly. Water
levels exceeded moderate flood stage earlier today. The
latest forecast from the Illinois Department of Natural
Resources indicates that water levels may near major flood
stage by the middle of this week.
- Water levels are expected to remain above flood stage at
least through the middle of next week, assuming no additional
rainfall occurs. Impacts from this flood may be similar to
those experienced in May of 1973, October of 1986, or June of
2008.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include areas
along the Fox River Chain of Lakes, including Nippersink
Lake, Fox Lake, Pistakee Lake, Petite Lake, Lake Marie,
Channel Lake, and Lake Catherine.

Stehekin River at Stehekin affecting Chelan County.

For the Stehekin River...including Stehekin...Minor flooding is
forecast.

Minor flooding is forecast.
Where:
Stehekin River at Stehekin.

Until further notice.
Impacts:
At 20.5 feet, water inundates some properties and
overtops the temporary corduroy bridge. Company Creek Road
inundated at northern end. Battalion Creek culverts are beginning
to be overtopped. Water begins damaging Wood Road.
Additional Details:
- At 8:30 AM PDT Monday the stage was 20.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 19.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late this
evening to 21.4 feet late Wednesday evening. It will then
fall early Saturday morning. It will rise to 20.8 feet late
Sunday evening. It will then fall again but remain above
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 20.5 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
22.5 feet on 05/12/2019.
