FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING
What:
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
Where:
Portions of Oregon, including the following areas,
Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon, Foothills of
the Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon and Northern Blue Mountains
of Oregon and southeast Washington, including the following area,
Foothills of the Blue Mountains of Washington.
When:
Through this evening.
Impacts:
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details:
- Excessive runoff due to rainfall and snowmelt over the past
36 hours has caused area streams and rivers to rise.

Portions of central Upper and western Upper Michigan,
including the following areas, in central Upper Michigan, Baraga,
Dickinson, Iron and Marquette. In western Upper Michigan,
Keweenaw, Northern Houghton, Ontonagon and Southern Houghton.
When:
From this evening through Saturday morning.
Impacts:
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM AKDT THIS EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING
What:
Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible.
Where:
The following areas, Central Susitna Valley, Southern
Susitna Valley and Western Susitna Valley. This includes the
communities of Skwentna, Willow, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, And
Petersville.
When:
From 9 PM AKDT this evening through Saturday morning.
Impacts:
Flooding of creeks, streams, low-lying and flood-prone
locations will be possible as a prolonged period of rainfall is
expected Wednesday night into Saturday morning. Storm drains and
ditches may be clogged by ice. Flooding may occur in poor drainage
areas. Frozen ground, patchy snow/ice melt with the lack of
drainage, and excessive runoff may result in the flooding of
creeks, streams, low-water crossings, and other low-lying areas
and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details:
- An atmospheric river will bring ample rainfall up Cook Inlet
and into the Susitna Valley over the next few days, beginning
overnight Wednesday and lasting through Saturday morning.
Expect 1 to 3 inches of rainfall total through the rest of
this week with the highest amounts west of the Parks Highway.
Forecast totals could be more variable toward the Willow
area. The heaviest rainfall periods will likely occur tonight
through Thursday morning, Thursday night into Friday morning,
and then Friday night into Saturday. Rain is expected to
taper off later Saturday, but lingering showers will be
possible through the rest of this weekend into next week.
