White River near Hazleton, Edwardsport, and Petersburg. Flooding
will persist through the weekend.
What:
Minor flooding is forecast.
Where:
White River at Hazleton.
When:
Until Thursday morning.
Impacts:
At 20.0 feet, Most of the low bottomlands flood.
Flooding begins in higher bottomlands. High water affects any
residents in Pottsville river cabins. Pottsville Road...North C
Street on river side of railroad tracks and Catt Street near U.S.
Highway 41 are flooded. Water is near or starting on Giro Road in
the vicinity of submerged Pottsville Road. Oil stripped fields
flood. Flood gates must be installed at Hazleton.

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.4
feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage
Wednesday evening.

White River at Petersburg.

Until early Wednesday afternoon.
Impacts:
At 20.5 feet, County Road 250 West from State Road 56
floods and blocks the vehicle access to Dodge City. During the
March 2008 flood the river remained above this level from late
afternoon March 19 through April 9. As mid-March 2011 high water
was receding...SR 257 south of Washington reopened when Shoals was
at 10.5 feet and falling steadily for the past 2 days.

Minnow Slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in
Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in
Sullivan County may flood. Water level is at the top of most
makeshift levees.

oil field production ceases with the exception of pumping units on
substructures. Access to these are by boat only. Agricultural
losses increase dramatically. Farmers move livestock to higher
ground. City of Mount Carmel leaves flood gates B and C in year
round.

East Fork White River near Rivervale.

Until late Monday morning.
Impacts:
At 22.0 feet, A few local county roads begin to flood
and are impassable. These include Buddha Road south of the gage
and Lawrenceport Road. All local roads across the East Fork White
River are threatened by high water, and some are closed. Flooding
of agricultural lands in Lawrence County is in progress.

Impacts:
At 20.0 feet, Water is over most local roads in the
flood plain. Agricultural lands flood. Water covers Bedford Boat
Club grounds, and the club calls for power to be shut off. Access
to higher campground spots at the Bedford Boat Club are blocked by
high water.

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 20.2 feet early Sunday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday

areas.

River at Hwy 59 near Lufkin...Minor flooding is forecast.
What:
Minor flooding is forecast.
Where:
Angelina River near Angelina River at Hwy 59 near Lufkin.
When:
From Monday afternoon until further notice.
Impacts:
At 161.0 feet, Expect minor flooding with the gravel
parking lot flooded and water beginning to overflow the gravel road
where it widens into the parking lot. Also expect about a foot of
overflow across the left bank of the Angelina River looking
downstream.
Additional Details:
- At 8:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 158.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
Monday afternoon and continue rising to 161.4 feet early
Wednesday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter.

and snowmelt. Roads and structures near lakes and rivers will
continue to see high water levels with slow improvement expected
into next week.
