What:
Heavy snow above 6500 feet. Snow accumulations of 4 to 10
inches above 6500 feet with 12 to 18 inches along highest mountain
peaks. 1 to 4 inches of snow possible at lake level, highest on
the western shores. Wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph across lower
elevations, including Lake Tahoe where wave heights reach 1 to 3
feet. Ridgetop winds gusting up to 90 mph at times.
Where:
Greater Lake Tahoe Area.
When:
From 5 AM early this morning to 5 PM PDT Wednesday.
Impacts:
Travel could be very difficult through Sierra passes.
The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday and Wednesday
commutes. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.

through this afternoon. Heavier snow showers could result in
locally greater snow totals. Isolated lightning is also possible

Heavy snow above 7000 feet. Snow accumulations of 6 to 12
inches above 7000 feet with up to 18 inches on highest mountain
peaks. 1 to 5 inches of snow possible for communities along
Highway 395. Southerly wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph across lower
elevations with gusts up to 60 mph in wind prone locations. Wind
gusts up to 90 mph along ridges.

Mono County.

From 5 AM early this morning to 5 PM PDT Wednesday.
Impacts:
Travel could be very difficult through Sierra passes.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM TUESDAY TO 10 AM AKDT WEDNESDAY
What:
Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations up
to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. Visibility reduced
to 1/2 mile or less at times.
Where:
Nunivak Island and western Kuskokwim Delta coast including
Toksook Bay.
When:
From 4 PM Tuesday to 10 AM AKDT Wednesday.
Impacts:
Visibilities reduced to one half mile or less due to
blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult.
Additional Details:
A frontal boundary moving northward across
the Bering will bring a light to moderate snowfall rates beginning
Tuesday afternoon. Snowfall will begin first over Mekoryuk, with
stronger winds and gusts moving in overnight into Wednesday
morning. Nunivak Island will see the most pronounced impacts from
snow and winds, however Toksook Bay will see similar conditions by
Tuesday evening. Areas further inland and south are expected to
remain outside the core of the winds and moisture.

Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of
1 to 3 inches in the valleys and 3 to 6 inches across higher
elevations. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph.
Where:
Central and Eastern Interior.
When:
From 10 PM this evening to 10 PM AKDT Tuesday.
Impacts:
Travel could be difficult at times. Areas of falling and
or blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, with icy
surface conditions also possible. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.
Additional Details:
A cold front moving west to east across the
Interior tonight through Tuesday will support moderate to heavy
bands of snow and gusty winds. Conditions are expected to improve
west to east throughout the day Tuesday as a colder and drier
airmass moves in. Overnight lows Tuesday night into Wednesday
morning will be much colder than previous days, dropping for most
to the single digits above and below zero.
