BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM WEDNESDAY TO 10 PM AKDT THURSDAY
What:
Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
between 2 and 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
Where:
Eastern Norton Sound and Nulato Hills, Interior Seward
Peninsula, and Southern Seward Peninsula Coast.
When:
From 4 AM Wednesday to 10 PM AKDT Thursday.
Impacts:
Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility.
Additional Details:
Strongest winds will occur late Tuesday night
through Wednesday afternoon then weaken Wednesday evening.
Instructions:
Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with
your vehicle.

BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 4 PM AKDT THURSDAY
What:
Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
between 4 and 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.
Where:
Lower Yukon River and Yukon Delta Coast.
When:
From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM AKDT Thursday.
Impacts:
Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility.
Additional Details:
Strongest winds will occur Tuesday night into
Wednesday morning, then weaken gradually through the afternoon.
Another pulse of wind will move into the area Wednesday night with
gusts up to 45 mph. Temperatures during the second round of wind
will be in the low to mid 30s, so blowing snow will be limited.
Instructions:
Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with
your vehicle.

Where:
Baldwin Peninsula, Lower Kobuk Valley, and Northern Seward
Peninsula.
When:
From 10 AM Wednesday to 10 PM AKDT Thursday.
Impacts:
Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility.
Additional Details:
Strongest winds will arrive midday/early
afternoon on Wednesday and continue through Wednesday night. Wind
gusts will remain around 35 mph through Thursday night.
Instructions:
Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with
your vehicle.

BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM WEDNESDAY TO 4 AM AKDT FRIDAY
What:
Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
between 6 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph.
Where:
St Lawrence Island.
When:
From 4 AM Wednesday to 4 AM AKDT Friday.
Impacts:
Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility.
Additional Details:
Strongest wind will arrive shortly after
midnight Tuesday night and continue through Wednesday afternoon.
Afterwards, wind gusts will remain elevated, up to 45 mph through
Thursday afternoon. Temperatures on Thursday will warm into the
low to mid 30s and while there will be some blowing snow, the
impacts should be less.
Instructions:
Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with
your vehicle.
