HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TO 11 PM PDT SUNDAY
What:
Temperatures up to 90 degrees F expected. Significant
cooling expected overnight.
Where:
Tualatin Valley.
When:
From 8 AM to 11 PM PDT Sunday.
Impacts:
Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.
Additional Details:
There is around 5% chance of high
temperatures of 95 degrees or greater in urban areas around the
Portland-Metro area. Overall Moderate HeatRisk with relieving
cooling temperatures overnight. Highs will be near record breaking
temperatures for this time of year.
Instructions:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in a cool place during the heat of the
day, stay out of the sunshine, and check up on relatives and
neighbors. For those without air conditioning, use fans to keep air
moving.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Moderate HeatRisk affects those who are sensitive to heat,
especially those without cooling/hydration, and some health systems
and industries.
