What:
For the first Small Craft Advisory, northeast winds 20
to 25 kt expected. For the Gale Watch, northeast winds 25 to
30 kt and seas 4 to 6 ft possible. For the second Small Craft
Advisory, northeast winds 20 to 30 kt expected.
Where:
Coastal waters from Cameron LA to High Island TX out
20 NM.
When:
For the first Small Craft Advisory, from 10 AM this
morning to 7 PM CDT this evening. For the Gale Watch, from
this evening through Saturday morning. For the second Small
Craft Advisory, from 7 AM to 1 PM CDT Saturday.
Impacts:
Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instructions:
Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas.
Areas Impacted:
Coastal waters from Cameron LA to High Island TX out 20 NM
