A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 PM CDT
Hazard:
Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
hail.

Radar indicated.
Impact:
Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage
vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Timbalier Bay.
Instructions:
Strong winds will be dangerous for boaters or anyone near the water.
Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. Seek shelter or move
to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Galveston Bay...

* Until 1230 PM CDT.

* At 1139 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Galena Park to Manvel, moving east at 45 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
Strong Thunderstorms Will Be Near:
Crystal Bay, Burnet Bay, Mitchell Bay, Scott Bay, Upper San
Jacinto Bay, Tabbs Bay, and Black Duck Bay around 1145 AM CDT.
Galveston Bay around 1150 AM CDT.
Trinity Bay around 1155 AM CDT.
Eagle Point and West Bay around 1205 PM CDT.
Western East Galveston Bay and Smith Point around 1210 PM CDT.
The Texas City Dike around 1215 PM CDT.
Instructions:
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

* Until 1230 PM CDT.

* At 1128 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located over Vermilion 171, or 41 nm south of Marsh
Island, moving east at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

South Marsh Island 288, Vermilion 149, South Marsh Island 281,

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
