Very warm and dry conditions along with breezy westerly winds
will create high to very high fire danger across much of the area
today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Widespread near-critical to critical fire weather concerns will
continue through Wednesday as hot and dry conditions continue.
Thunderstorms may develop across western South Dakota Wednesday
afternoon. While severe weather is not expected at this time, a
few strong storms could develop and produce strong wind gusts.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for west central Minnesota,
central South Dakota, north central South Dakota and northeast
South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Near critical to critical fire danger is expected today due to relative
humidity values of 15 to 25% across the region in addition to winds
gusting up to 30 to 40 mph during the morning through the afternoon,
strongest over northeastern SD. Avoid any outdoor burning and listen
to local restrictions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Dry and windy conditions will lead to increase fire weather concerns
Wednesday.

Strong sustained west-northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to
50 mph will be possible on Thursday.
