High Wind Warning
In effect from Saturday, Mar 07 2026 2:00 AM - Sunday, Mar 08 2026 11:00 PM

What:
Westerly winds 40 to 60 mph, with gusts up to 85 mph.
Isolated wind gusts over 100 mph are expected along the immediate
eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountain Front.

Where:
The Rocky Mountain Front and adjacent foothills and
plains, and Eastern Glacier, Western Toole, and Central Pondera
Counties.

When:
From 2 AM MST Saturday to midnight MDT Sunday Night.

Impacts:
Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Power outages are likely. Travel will be difficult to dangerous,
especially for high profile vehicles.

Additional Details:
On Sunday the magnitude and duration of the
winds will be similar to the December 17th event.

Instructions:
People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind.

If possible, consider delaying travel during the period of highest
winds or finding an alternate route.

High Wind Warning

What:
For the Wind Advisory, north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts
up to 50 mph. For the High Wind Warning, northeast winds 30 to 40
mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected.

Where:
Eastern San Gabriel Mountains, Santa Susana Mountains, and
Western San Gabriel Mountains and Highway 14 Corridor.

When:
From 2 AM Friday to 3 PM PST Saturday.

Impacts:
Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.

Additional Details:
Lull in the wind possible Friday afternoon
and evening.

Instructions:
Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must
drive.
