GALE WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE TONIGHT
What:
South winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and
waves 4 to 7 ft possible.
Where:
Lake Superior East of a line from Manitou Island to
Marquette MI and West of a line from Grand Marais MI to the
US/Canadian Border Beyond 5NM from shore.
When:
From 8 PM EDT this evening through late tonight.
Impacts:
Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instructions:
Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.
Areas Impacted:
Lake Superior East of a line from Manitou Island to Marquette MI and West of a line from Grand Marais MI to the US/Canadian Border Beyond 5NM from shore
