HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CHST TUESDAY... ...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT
What:
Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet. Isolated minor
coastal flooding possible during high tides.
Where:
North facing reefs of Yap.
When:
Until 5 AM ChST Tuesday.
Impacts:
Some water on low lying roads and property. Dangerous
swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.
Additional Details:
North-northeast swell from distant Tropical
Storm Sinlaku continues to bring hazardous surf along north
facing reefs through at least late tonight. Hazardous surf,
combined with the higher high tides with the new moon cycle, may
produce minor coastal inundation along northern shorelines at
times of high tide.
Instructions:
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING... ...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 PM EDT TUESDAY
What:
For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents
expected. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of
6 to 9 feet expected in the surf zone.
Where:
Coastal Palm Beach County.
When:
For the High Rip Current Risk, from 2 PM EDT this
afternoon through Wednesday morning. For the High Surf
Advisory, from 2 AM to 8 PM EDT Tuesday.
Impacts:
Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
Instructions:
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
