LAKE WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 10 PM PDT THIS EVENING
What:
Southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
Where:
Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area and Mineral and
Southern Lyon Counties. Impacted lakes include Washoe and Walker
lakes.
When:
From 1 PM this afternoon to 10 PM PDT this evening.
Impacts:
Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to
capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions
improve.
Instructions:
Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a
sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing
boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind.
Areas Impacted:
Mineral and Southern Lyon Counties
Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area

LAKE WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 10 PM PDT THIS EVENING
What:
Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph on
northeast California and eastern Sierra lakes, including Lake
Tahoe where wave heights of 1 to 3 feet are expected.
Where:
Greater Lake Tahoe Area, Lassen-Eastern Plumas-Eastern
Sierra Counties, and Mono County. Impacted lakes include Eagle
Lake, Lake Davis, Frenchman Lake, Stampede and Boca reservoirs,
Donner Lake, Lake Tahoe, Bridgeport Reservoir, Topaz Lake, Mono
Lake, and Crowley Lake.
When:
From 11 AM this morning to 10 PM PDT this evening.
Impacts:
Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to
capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions
improve.

improve.
