northwest winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt.
Where:
Waters from Cape Mendocino to Pt. Arena CA from 10 to
60 nm.
When:
Until 9 AM PDT Saturday.
Impacts:
Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or cause
damage to vessels.
Instructions:
Recreational boaters should remain in port. Commercial vessels
should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in port
until hazardous seas subside.

Waters from Cape Mendocino to Pt. Arena CA from 10 to 60 nm

What:
For the Small Craft Advisory, north winds 20 to 30 kt
with gusts up to 35 kt and seas 6 to 8 ft at 6 to 7 seconds. For
the Hazardous Seas Warning, very steep and hazardous seas 9 to
11 ft at 6 to 7 seconds expected.
Where:
For the Hazardous Seas Warnings, waters south of Ophir
and beyond 3 nm from shore. For the Small Craft Advisory, all
other waters south of Cape Blanco.
When:
For the Small Craft Advisory, until 11 PM PDT Saturday.
For the Hazardous Seas Warning, from 2 PM this afternoon to 11
AM PDT Friday.
Impacts:
Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or
damage vessels. Bar crossings will become especially
treacherous.
