This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

HEAVY RAIN.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Along and West of a Bartlesville to Tulsa to Hugo line.
ONSET...After Midnight.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Elevated.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma.
ONSET...This Evening.

DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop late this
afternoon and into the evening to the west of the area and move
eastward into eastern Oklahoma during the evening and overnight
hours. A very low chance of severe weather exists for areas west
of Highway 75 through the evening, with a limited threat for
locally heavy rainfall after midnight.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...Thunderstorm and Heavy Rain Potential.
SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Widespread showers with embedded isolated to scattered
thunderstorms will continue to develop through the day Friday and
into Saturday as a storm system moves through the Southern Plains.
Heavy rainfall and flooding potential will be the main concern
through the period with forecast amounts in the 1 to 3 inch range
across the area and localized totals in the 4 to 5 inch range. The
higher end of these amounts could lead to isolated flash flooding
and rises on mainstem rivers. Isolated thunderstorm potential may
linger into Sunday across far eastern Oklahoma and western
Arkansas, but overall, improving conditions are expected during
the latter part of the weekend. Another storm system may bring
rain to the region early in the next work week, but uncertainty is
high regarding any additional impactful weather.
