DISCUSSION...
Showers and isolated thunderstorms will spread across portions
of southeast Oklahoma today and tonight. Rainfall amounts will
remain light and severe weather is not expected. Gusty southerly
winds will develop today across the region with frequent
gusts of 20 to 30 mph.

WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm and High Wind Potential.
THURSDAY...Severe Thunderstorm and High Wind Potential.
FRIDAY and SATURDAY...Thunderstorm and Heavy Rain Potential.
SUNDAY and MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Isolated thunderstorms are forecast on Wednesday across
southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas. Severe weather
is not expected. The weather pattern will become more active and
unstable beginning Thursday and continuing through the
weekend. Isolated severe storms are possible Thursday evening
with a higher chance of severe weather Thursday night into
Friday. Storms may redevelop by Friday afternoon and evening
with a continued severe weather threat. Conditions will become
increasingly unstable Saturday into Sunday and supportive
of a continued severe weather threat. Sunday currently appears
as an opportunity for significant severe weather with specific
details refined in later forecasts. However, those with outdoor
activities Thursday through the weekend should closely monitor
updated forecasts as multiple periods of severe weather and
heavy rainfall are likely to occur.

Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

DISCUSSION...

Very localized elevated fire weather risk over the eastern Ozarks
this afternoon, with minimum relative humidity values in the
25-40% range and southwest winds gusting up to 20-30mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Thunderstorm chances (60-90%) return by Thursday and Friday.
There is low to medium confidence in the potential for strong to
severe thunderstorms in addition to localized heavy rainfall.
