What:
Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level
expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.
Where:
Northwest Suffolk, Northern Queens and Northern Nassau
Counties.
When:
From 11 PM Saturday to 2 AM EDT Sunday.
Impacts:
Minor flooding in the more vulnerable locations near
the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low lying
properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and
businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience
minor flooding.
Instructions:
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

Impacts:
Widespread flooding of vulnerable areas near the
waterfront and shoreline, including roads, parking lots, parks,
lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the
waterfront. Road closures are possible, and vehicles parked
in vulnerable areas near the waterfront could experience
flooded.
Additional Details:
Moderate coastal flood benchmarks may be
approached for the Saturday evening high tide in Southern Nassau.
Additional minor flooding is possible for the Sunday evening
high tide.
Instructions:

In Connecticut, Southern Fairfield County. In New
York, Southern Westchester County.

What:
For the High Surf Warning, dangerously large breaking
waves of 11 to 15 feet. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor
coastal flooding of 1 to 2 feet. For the High Surf Advisory,
large breaking waves of 10 to 14 feet expected. For the High Rip
Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.
Where:
South, west and north facing reefs and shorelines of
Guam and Rota.
When:
For the High Surf Warning, until 10 AM ChST this morning.
For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 5 PM ChST today. For the
High Surf Advisory, from 10 AM this morning to 5 PM ChST Sunday.
For the High Rip Current Risk, through Sunday afternoon.
Impacts:
Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated
road closures expected. Breaking waves can sweep people off
jetties and docks, and into dangerous seas. Life-threatening
swimming conditions and significant beach erosion can be
expected. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from
shore into deeper water.
Additional Details:
As TY Sinlaku continues to move away, the
primary swell and highest surf will be northwest. Seas will be
slow to subside over the next couple of days. Surf heights of
12 to 16 feet are expected for Guam and Rota.
Instructions:
Everyone should remain out of the water due to life-threatening
surf conditions. Stay off of jetties, piers, and other waterside
infrastructure.

Rip currents will be life threatening. If caught in a rip
current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If
able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to
escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

What:

The lower Cape Fear River including downtown
Wilmington.
When:
From 9 PM this evening to 1 AM EDT Saturday.
Impacts:
The lowest portions of USS North Carolina Road and
Battleship Road begin to observe minor coastal flooding. Water
begins to spread out of storm drains onto Water Street just
south of Market Street in downtown Wilmington.
Additional Details:
Affected areas listed are based on
average tide conditions. Additional locations may experience
flooding during periods of heavy rainfall, high winds, or
other factors.
