What:
For the Coastal Flood Statement, up to one half foot of
inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas
near the waterfront and shoreline. For the Coastal Flood
Advisory, up to one foot of inundation above ground level
expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.
Where:
In Connecticut, Southern Fairfield County. In New
York, Southern Westchester County.
When:
For the Coastal Flood Statement, until 1 AM EDT
Saturday. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 11 PM Saturday
to 2 AM EDT Sunday.
Impacts:
Minor flooding in the more vulnerable locations near
the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low lying
properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and
businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience
minor flooding.
Additional Details:
Additional minor flooding is possible for
the Sunday evening high tide.
Instructions:
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST THIS AFTERNOON... ...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON
What:
Large breaking waves of 9 to 11 feet. Minor coastal
flooding possible.
Where:
North and east facing reefs of Yap.
When:
Until 5 PM ChST this afternoon.
Impacts:
Some water on low lying roads and property. Dangerous
swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.
Additional Details:
Large northeast swell from Typhoon Sinlaku
will bring hazardous surf along north and east facing reefs
through at least this afternoon. Hazardous surf, combined
with the higher high tides with the new moon cycle, may produce
minor coastal inundation along northern and eastern shorelines at
times of high tide.
Instructions:
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
