What:
Dangerous avalanche conditions develop on Friday night.
Expect the Avalanche Danger to rise to HIGH (Level 4 of 5).
*WHERE...Park Range.
*WHEN...Expect very dangerous avalanche conditions to begin on
Friday night and last until 5:00 PM on Sunday
*IMPACTS...High snowfall rates and strong winds will create
dangerous avalanche conditions by Friday night. Large and dangerous
avalanches will be easy to trigger once the new snow accumulates.
Avalanches will run naturally. Travel in backcountry avalanche
terrain is not recommended during this time.

What:
The avalanche danger for the warning area will rise
quickly as a strong winter storm impacts the forecast area
beginning this afternoon. The danger is expected to rise to HIGH
late tonight, and dangerous avalanche conditions are expected
to continue into tomorrow.
Where:
The eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range
between Virginia Lakes to the north and Bishop Creek to the
south.
When:
In effect from Wed 07:00 PDT to Thu 07:00 PDT.
Impacts:
Heavy snow combined with strong winds will create
widespread areas of unstable snow as this storm intensifies
overnight.
* PRECAUTIONARY / PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Very dangerous avalanche
conditions are expected to develop within the next 24 hours.
Avalanches may run long distances, into mature forests, valley
floors, or flat terrain. Consult http://www.esavalanche.org/ or

avalanche danger may exist at locations outside the coverage
area of this or any avalanche center.
