Where:
In Virginia, Western Highland County. In West Virginia,
Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.
When:
Until 11 AM EST Thursday.
Impacts:
The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing
temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

Additional Cold Weather Headlines are
expected at times through the end of the week as the region
remains in an Arctic airmass.
Instructions: Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
