What:
For the Coastal Flood Advisory, High astronomical tides
will cause minor flooding in low lying areas around Humboldt
Bay. Up to one half foot of saltwater inundation above ground
level is possible near shorelines and tidal waterways. Between
8.8 and 9.1 feet MLLW at the North Spit tide gauge is predicted.
For the Coastal Flood Watch flooding is possible around Humboldt
Bay Thursday through Saturday at high tide. 1 to 1.5 feet of
saltwater inundation (9.5 to 10 feet MLLW) is possible Friday
and Saturday.

Where:
Northern Humboldt County Coast.

When:
For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 7 AM to 9 AM PST
Wednesday. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from Thursday morning
through Saturday afternoon. High tide is at 8:00 AM at the
Humboldt Bay North Spit tide gauge Wednesday. Saltwater
inundation will be possible 1 to 2 hours before and after high
tide.

Impacts:
Several coastal roads may be closed. Low lying
property and some critical infrastructure will be inundated.
Some shoreline erosion may occur.

Instructions:
A Coastal Flood Watch means that flooding is possible but not
imminent. Coastal residents in the watch area should begin
preparations for rising water and take appropriate action to
protect life and property.

Feet Above Ground is locally defined as feet above the Highest
Astronomical Tide or HAT.

Northern Humboldt Coast

Coastal Del Norte, Southern Humboldt Coast and Mendocino
Coast.

When:
From Thursday morning through Saturday afternoon. .
